General
Information
Pioneers for Christ, a
hands-on discipleship program for boys, is sponsored by the
International Department of Youth and Christian Education
and serves boys of various ages:
- Champions: Ages 5-6
- Disciples: Ages 7-9
- Apostles: Ages 10-12
- Junior Centurions:
Ages 13-17
In each category, PFC
challenges our young men to become "Men of Valor." No matter
the age group, the boys can complete different gates,
discovering how they can "do all things through Christ who
strengthens" them (Phil. 4:13). In addition, it emphasizes
the following spiritual goals:
- Bible study
- Scripture
memorization
- Understanding of the
Church of God heritage, faith, and commitments
- Understanding how to
be a good steward
- Understanding how to
be a faithful church member
But, PFC does not stop
there. It continues by challenging our boys in the following
physical activities:
- Use of tools
- Proper use of fire
- Camping
- First Aid
- Sign Language
- Hunting Safety
